About

Located out the back of the Artis Zoo is a large square in very close proximity to one of the larger bird enclosures, featuring a bunch of water fountains for kids to play around in during the summer, and the well known open air flamingo enclosure. Open until late at night you can take a stroll and pick up a coffee or drink from the onsite stand, and enjoy it while watching the flamingos playing around in the water.

Also in the area is the high quality Dutch restaurant 'De Plantage', which can get extremely busy during the summer, but offers high quality dining in a very unique location.
