A highly atmospheric and hidden square out the back of the Royal Artis Zoo
Free to enter / Flamingos & rare birds / Beautiful at night
Located out the back of the Artis Zoo is a large square in very close proximity to one of the larger bird enclosures, featuring a bunch of water fountains for kids to play around in during the summer, and the well known open air flamingo enclosure. Open until late at night you can take a stroll and pick up a coffee or drink from the onsite stand, and enjoy it while watching the flamingos playing around in the water.
Also in the area is the high quality Dutch restaurant 'De Plantage', which can get extremely busy during the summer, but offers high quality dining in a very unique location.
Also on site is the brand new Artis Groote museum, alongside a bunch of additional outdoor seating where you can enjoy a drink from the restaurant De Plantage or drink stand, and take in the atmosphere.
