If you are a nature lover, this is a perfect spot for you. Beautiful and wild, Amsterdam forest has lovely pedestrian and bike tracks, 2 big lakes and some small rivers. You can take a relaxing walk all around the forest, the road is clear and well maintained, but don’t forget that the forest is really big. There are many chilling spots around the 2 lakes or just on beautiful grass fields.

There are few cafes where you can buy snacks, ice creams and drinks, but bring your cash as the card machines don’t always work due to the bad connection. In one of the cafes you can also rent canoes and take them around the lake.
There is also a lovely goat farm more in the west of the forest, there are signs pointing the correct direction to it. The goat farm is home not only for baby or grown up goats but also for other farm animals like chicken, pigs, horses and more. If you get tired, there is a cafe where you can have lunch, ice cream or some local goat cheese.
If you’re a runner and you want to have a challenge, the forest is the place! You can run 5, 10 or even more kilometres without repeating your route as there are many different track options and you will definitely meet other runners on your way.
Forest is also the home to a local theatre, when the weather is good they play quite many shows, though most of them are in Dutch.
In summer, you can rent canoes to go around the lake
