Enjoy your drink in a historical Amsterdam house that's on a tilt!
Terrace overseeing a canal / Local + Belgian beers / Snack platters
One exceptional feature of the architecture in Amsterdam is the tilted houses. This bar is exactly that, so come on in and experience it first hand! If you look at the building from a distance, it looks like it is sinking into the ground, but no worries, it’s completely safe. The building was built in 1695, so there is some real history there. The owners did a great job in preserving the history in the exterior and interior of the building.
Café de Sluyswacht offers a great selection of traditional Dutch snacks, also called borrel: bitterballen, kaasstengels, cheese blocks and little sausages, all these are the most typical snacks for the Netherlands. The bar offers a great selection of Dutch and Belgian beers, small sizes as well as pints.
